Figlia Americana interior design by Oculus Inc. reimagines fast-casual dining with a warm, communal atmosphere in downtown Portland. As the approachable sibling to Renata—The Oregonian’s 2015 Restaurant of the Year—Figlia Americana blends Italian-American comfort with modern café culture. The space invites both hurried patrons and lingering guests to connect around three long communal tables, fostering a sense of community. This thoughtful design earned the 2018 Hospitality Design Award’s Special Judges’ Award in the newly created “Café Culture” category, celebrating its authentic and visually impactful environment.
