Project Description
Oculus Inc. has partnered with Victron Energy to provide architectural and interior design for five retail projects in Texas to date. Each of the Victron projects are uniquely designed around a theme to provide a truly unique experience. Most recently, Oculus designed a new, full-service retail destination in Grand Prairie, Texas. This multi-faceted project features a custom-designed aquatics-themed convenience store with a separate fueling station, two nationally recognized quick-service restaurant (QSR) brands (Dunkin’ and Jimmy John’s), a drive-thru service, a detached car wash building, and two covered parking areas for approximately 15 vehicles. The site also includes advanced fuel-dispensing infrastructure, EV charging stations, and robust amenities to serve both local residents and travelers.
Oculus Inc. provided full-scope architectural services, including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration. The design process was highly collaborative, involving multiple rounds of client review and coordination with structural, MEP, and fuel system engineering partners. Contemporary forms, durable materials, and a focus on operational efficiency and customer experience define the project’s architectural character. The convenience store and car wash are anchored by high-quality finishes, branded elements, and thoughtful site planning to maximize accessibility and visibility.
