Project Description

Oculus provided architectural services for the new Ruby Red’s BBQ Restaurant location at La Habra Marketplace, including their 2023 expansion. This fast-casual location for a 30-year-old barbeque catering company brings a unique dining experience for all ages, while giving back to the community. The owner wanted his first brick-and-mortar restaurant in the Los Angeles area to capture the essence of Texas barbeque, family gatherings and a rustic, yet high-end, home away from home setting. As highlighted in VSMD’s The Goods: Ruby Red’s BBQ, designers transformed the 2,200-SF in-line space located into an immersive customer experience. Due to the Ruby’s overwhelming success, Oculus was asked to design an expansion to Ruby Red’s location at La Habra Marketplace. Oculus provided Architecture, Interior Design, and Branding design for the interior fit-out of the existing building, the outdoor dining space, and exterior signage.
