Project Description

Rainbow Village Aging With Empowerment Center is a thoughtfully redesigned 6,000-square-foot facility in St. Louis, MO, created by Oculus Inc. in partnership with the St. Louis ARC to foster inclusivity and well-being for aging adults and individuals with developmental disabilities. The center features a sensory integration room, specialized activity areas, a technology café, and a communal “campfire” living room, all designed to encourage community engagement and personal growth. Utilizing Evidence-based Design (EDAC) principles, the space incorporates natural tones and textures, along with a calming palette of soft greens and blues, to create a warm, residential atmosphere that supports a diverse range of users.
