Project Description

Missouri Baptist believes expecting and delivering mothers deserve a spa-like experience. Oculus Inc.’s created a vision to support that goal for this OBGYN remodel.

Oculus Inc. provided architecture and interior design services for the 66,846 SF third floor of Missouri Baptist Medical Center. The project remained fully operational throughout construction.

The scope focused on the hospital’s OBGYN and maternal care services. This included Labor, Delivery & Recovery, the Pregnancy Assessment Center, Antepartum care, post-partum areas, and surgical suites.

Design improvements included a refreshed color palette, upgraded finishes, and enhanced lighting. These upgrades supported a more calming and patient-centered environment.

Functional upgrades were also incorporated. This included the installation of birthing tubs and improvements to patient flow and capacity.

The result is a modernized OBGYN environment that balances clinical performance with a more comfortable patient experience.
