Maslow’s & Community Table by FareStart exemplifies Oculus Inc.’s commitment to designing spaces that foster community and empowerment. Situated in downtown Seattle, this dual-concept dining venue—comprising the full-service Maslow’s restaurant and the grab-and-go Community Table café—serves as a cornerstone for FareStart’s mission to provide job training and employment opportunities to individuals overcoming barriers such as poverty and homelessness. The interior design thoughtfully balances functionality with warmth, creating inviting environments that support both patrons and staff. Notably, the project received the 2018 Contract Magazine Inspiration Award and the IIDA Pacific Chapter INstory Award, recognizing its impactful design and social contribution.
