Architect II / Project Manager – (HYBRID)

Position Overview

The Architect II / Project Manager will lead projects through all phases, including schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. This role combines architectural expertise with project management responsibilities, including client communication, consultant coordination, and budget oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and develop various-sized projects with many complexities
  • Execute and coordinate project production internally and coordinate with other disciplines and sub-consultants.
  • Mentor and support junior architects and designers
  • Works with the office templates to maintain correct drawings, and improve efficiencies, and trains less experienced staff.
  • Prepare proposals and contracts on mid-sized projects with Sr PM oversight.
  • Review billing and fee management for projects when applicable. Coordinate with the Accounting team on payments and outstanding project invoices.
  • Serve as liaison contact with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction.
  • Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating staff assignments on various sized projects.
  • Assist with QA/QC reviews during the project production on smaller-to mid-size projects, and is responsible for ensuring projects follow current building codes, office, and client standards.
  • Represent the interests, concerns, and problems of the team they oversee, and work with their Sr PM to ensure issues are addressed and resolved expeditiously.
  • Some project-related travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 12+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in architecture from an accredited program.
  • Licensed architect preferred, but not required
  • Proficient in Revit
  • Sound and diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices in a broad array of assignments and related fields
  • Knowledge of building code and other design standards as well as an interest in developing and maintaining quality drawings, and efficiencies within the office.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of the design/production and construction process.
