Award Winning Design
When designing new school buildings, it is important to consider the impact the interior will have on the student’s education. Instead of designing a one-type-fits all structure, firms like Oculus believe that school building should act as teaching tools just as much as blackboards and computers. Oculus Inc. was chosen to provide comprehensive interior design services, signage and wayfinding, and furniture, fixture, and equipment selection, placement, and layout for the new school.
In order to instill a sense of community and inspire creativity amongst students, Oculus Inc looked towards the latest design trends and materials for the school. Not only did the interior have to meet the needs of the students attending, it also had to meet DoDEA 21st Century School standards and achieve an overall LEED rating of Silver.
